Rauner Insists Not Demanding Specific Reform in Budget Negotiations

Governor Bruce Rauner insists he’s not demanding any one specific reform as part of a budget agreement… as long as lawmakers do something to address his concerns about the state’s political and business climate.

Rauner says he has trimmed his original 44-point Turnaround Agenda to a list of just five items… and says he’s willing to cut that even further.

And he told a town hall meeting this week that limits on collective bargaining don’t necessarily have to be part of a final agreement.
