We invite you to participate in one of the Midwest’s premier half marathons. This is the only race where you can immerse yourself in the history of Abraham Lincoln and enjoy a scenic run past the only home he ever owned, the Lincoln/Herndon Law Office, the Old State Capitol where he delivered his ‘House Divided’ speech and his final resting place in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
River Connections: A Story of Science and Hope, Earth Week lecture by Michelle S. Carr, Illinois State Director of The Nature Conservancy, Brookens Auditorium, University of Illinois-Springfield, sponsored by the Kowalczyk Fund.
On April 22, men from all walks of life will walk one mile in women’s high-heeled shoes through downtown Springfield to raise awareness about rape and sexual assault and to rally the community to take action to prevent sexual violence.
It’s the 5K marathon for both the serious runner and the not-so-serious runner.
