A decision has been made regarding the music career of Joey + Rory – Rory Feek will not perform without his wife Joey beside him.
The duo will release a new album titled Hymns That Are Important To Us. No word on when the album will be unveiled but it will be the final time they sing together but also the last time Rory will perform as well.
“This is the last record that Joey and I will ever get to make and the last songs we’ll ever get to sing together.”
Following her Stage Four cancer diagnosis in June of 2015, Joey Feek decided to discontinue her treatments & entered at-home hospice care in November.
Rory has been keeping fans updated on the blog, This Life I Live. He recently added an entry accepting the fact that his wife is going to die.
Already an established songwriter before he met Joey, Rory only began singing in public after forming the duo.
Feek also says that there will be a new DVD – coming shortly after the album’s release.
Joey continues to have prayers & support from tons of family & friends across the country as well having a cheerleader in her almost two year-old daughter Indiana – who was born with Down Syndrome.
