Patrolman Jose Sadalua gave the shoes off of his own feet to a homeless man in the subzero temperatures this weekend.
Officers were responding to a complaint about a homeless man sleeping in the entrance way of an apartment building where they found 57 year-old Glenn Kline. Instead of arresting Kline, police asked what they could do to help him as he was trying to stay warm in the 15 degree weather.
Sadalua took off his shoes & gave them to Kline, who said they were a good fit. The officer didn’t want his good deed to get out out but his fellow officers couldn’t not tell the story to Fox 8-TV in Cleveland.
