A group calling itself The Road Ahead Initiative made up of Route 66 enthusiasts from eight states is looking for a simpler name and identity. The Road Ahead Initiative Steering Committee chairman Bill Thomas says the group realizes their name is a mouthful to say so they are looking for a new logo and name.If you have an idea you can enter through April 18th.
Jill Kinnett, owner and brand strategist for Omni Ideas in Springfield, has advice on what makes a good logo. She says “a great name or logo should be simple, memorable, timeless, distinctive, and be able to be used in many different types of media.” She adds, “Shorter is always better.”
