Jason Aldean will hopefully give fans a new album later this year, but he will perform his latest single ‘Lights Come On’ at this weekend’s ACM Awards.
The track – whose official lyric video was released on Friday gives us a sneak-peek at what Aldean has been working on.
According to Aldean, the song is about the rush he feels when he takes the stage & the ‘lights come on’ – seeing & hearing fans sing his songs back to him.
“Being on stage is why I do what I do; it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do … [“Lights Come On”] is about throwing the biggest party, from the floor to the top of the rafters, for all those people who spent their paycheck to come see us.”
While no official release date has been given for Aldean’s upcoming new material, he’ll perform ‘Lights Come On’ at the ACM Awards – which air this Sunday night on CBS-TV at 7:00PM.
