More than 17 million subscribers will see an increase in their Netflix bill & most don’t even know it’s coming!
The on-demand subscription company started to raise the price of their streaming services back in May 2014 from $8.99 to $9.99 for new customers. Customers already using the services were grandfathered into a $7.99 plan.
But next month, those who were grandfathered into the $7.99 plan will be charged the $9.99. A recent survey by Business Insider reports that more 80% of subscribers were not aware that the price would be raised.
If you’re looking to jump ship, Netflix’s new monthly rate will still be cheaper than a commercial free Hulu subscription which costs $11.99/month. It will be more expensive than an Amazon Prime subscription that costs $99.00/year.
