Police in Coon Rapids, Minnesota say that a prank phone call on Friday night led to employees at a local Burger King to bust out all the windows in the business.
The phone call was from someone claiming to be with the local fire department, saying that they were detecting a dangerous level of gas building up inside of the restaurant. The prankster told the workers that if the restaurant windows were not broken immediately, an explosion could happen.
Police are investigating the incident & are telling residents that if somebody on the phone ever claims to damage property, leave the restaurant & call the police.
This is not the first time a prank has led to physical damage to a restaurant, similar incidents have occurred at a Shawnee, Oklahoma Burger King, which resulted in over $10,000 in damage.
