The movie version of Dolly Parton’s Coat Of Many Colors is getting a sequel. The first movie, released on December 10, 2015 was a huge hit watched by nearly 16 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched cable or broadcast movies.
In a news release, NBC announced a sequel called Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
And all of the original cast will return, including Jennifer Nettles as Dolly’s mother Avie Lee and Alyvia Alyn Lind as young Dolly.
After the announcement, Dolly Parton shared her excitement over the sequel. “I am so happy to share this story with the viewers and to say there is so much more to tell because mine truly has been a life of many colors,” she said.
Christmas Of Many Colors will tell the story of hoe the Parton’s celebrated one holiday season n the midst of an unexpected blizzard. And how Dolly’s dad, Robert, and the children were able to make a special Christmas wish come true…..the wedding ring for Avie.
