Tickets for this year’s Illinois State Fair Grandstand concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
There are two ways to get tickets Saturday and Sunday – by phone to Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 and online at www.ticketmaster.com. No in-person ticket sales will be offered at the fairgrounds until Monday May 23in the Emmerson Building where administrative offices are housed. The box office in the grandstand building will not open until June 1st.
The “Country Concert Blowout” package will be offered again this year. The package comes with one track ticket to each of the four country shows on the schedule: Jake Owen on Aug. 14, Dierks Bentley on Aug. 16, Cole Swindell on Aug. 19 and Little Big Town on Aug. 20. The package costs $114, a 20 percent discount compared to buying tickets to each show individually. Fair officials point out that the tickets can be split among multiple fairgoers. A total of 500 “Blowout” packages will be available, and the offer ends July 31. The package is not available through Ticketmaster. It must be purchased from the fairgrounds ticket office.
The fair this year also is offering a “StageSide Partyticket” to go along with each show. For an additional $30, fairgoers can attend a StageSide party that begins 2 1/2 hours before show time. The party ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, beer and wine for purchase, entertainment, early entry into the concert and giveaways, including a chance to win two backstage meet-and-greet passes. A total of 120 party tickets will be available for each concert.
The party tickets will be available through Ticketmaster and in person at the fair ticket office.
From May 23-31, the ticket office at the fairgrounds will be located in the Emmerson Building and will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Beginning June 1, the fair ticket office will move to the Grandstand Box Office and will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The fair ticket office’s phone number is 782-1979.
