After receiving his 10th DUI and blaming the ‘beer battered fish’ he ate earlier in the evening on the mishap, a Wisconsin man will be heading to prison.
John Przybyla of Friendship, Wisconsin was sentenced to 7 years in prison on Monday after a jury found him guilty of drunk driving in February. The incident stemmed from a incident back in 2014 when police pulled Przybyla over & smelled alcohol on his breath.
The 76 year-old tried to explain to police that he had recently eaten beer-battered fish and that was the reason for the smell. The judge in the case said the offense is troubling because Przybyla failed to recognize his problem & sentenced him to additional 4 years of extended supervision.
