Garth Brooks explained why he won’t be performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration in a video he posted on Facebook Monday.

Garth said he was approached by casino mogul and inauguration organizer Steve Wynn about singing at the event. He said that he “left it up to karma.” When ticket sales went so well for a series of concerts in Cincinnati, he added three additional shows and the dates conflicted with the inauguration.
In the Facebook video, Garth had some advice for his fans conflicted over the results of the Presidential election, saying, “I’m going to tell you, with this whole presidential thing: We’ve got one going out, pray for him and his family. And for the president going in, pray for him and his family to guide this nation. Let’s stay together. Love, unity, that’s what it’s all about.”
