Recently retired from NASCAR, Carl Edwards’ name has been thrown out as a possible candidate for a U.S. Senate seat.
Edwards, who announced his retirement from NASCAR a few weeks ago, will be running for the Senate seat in his home state of Missouri – according to Terry Smith, political science profess at Columbia College. While Edwards hasn’t confirmed a potential jump into the land of politics, he has told the Associated Press:
“I believe firmly in the principles that the U.S. was founded upon. If I could help, I definitely would consider it. No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation.”
