Miranda Lambert played the role of bouncer at Thursday night’s Pistol Annies’ performance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
During their performance of ‘Cheyenne’ — a tender ballad from their upcoming album Interstate Gospel — a fan with probably a little too much alcohol parked herself next to the stage and was enjoying the music just a little too much.
Lambert talked to the fan, telling her that she didn’t have to go home but she couldn’t stay where she was. The fan didn’t move even with security on both sides of her, so Miranda took off her guitar, spoke to the woman briefly before taking her hand and walking her away from the stage.
Miranda and the girls continued the show for the fans in the audience, gaining a strong round of applause for how they handled the situation.
Interstate Gospel will be released next Friday (November 2).
